Make That Healthy Choice

 Good morning everyone!
Iiiiit'ssss Friday! Was this week stressful, busy? Do you just feel like this huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders and now you can relax? Well that's just great, go ahead and relax but don't get careless. Just because it's almost the weekend, doesn't mean it's time to eat whatever you want and just lay around the whole time. The weekend has arrived so that you can continue your healthy lifestyle that you may have just started at the beginning of the week; but to have a relaxing time doing it. This is your chance to continue with all of your hard work but without any distractions, just some good old fashioned "you" time.
Be a morning person if you aren't already. If you usually wake up late on a regular Saturday try and get in the habit and set your alarm clock one hour earlier than you usually wake up. Get in the habit of this until you have reached the reasonable morning hour goal to wake up at. Then start your Saturday morning right, by eating right. Make yourself a bowl of oatmeal or some poached eggs and dry rye toast. Then, go to a early morning yoga class; sounds perfect to me already. Do these things and you will certainly be rejuvenated for the rest of your day. If you're not a yoga person then here is an alternative. Go downstairs, make yourself some tea or coffee, any liquid wisdom to get you up and going. Having something in your stomach will kick start your metabolism and tell your body that it is ready for the day. Now time for a shower, but wait! Before you step foot in the shower for the day be sure and do your sets of abs, squats, push-ups, etc. for at least fifteen minutes. That way you have already done a little mini workout, worked up a sweat and your most daunting task-which might have been going to the gym that day is already fifteen minutes less than usual. After you have taken your shower and gotten ready for the day, make sure you your second most overwhelming task for that day. Studies have shown that people who get chores/errands that they don't necessarily like to do before noon everyday have been much more productive and stress free the rest of that day. So get up, get your errands finished and out of the way, don't procrastinate. Get as many things done this weekend so that you can feel proud of yourself at the end of the day and still have that "you" time.

P.S. Scroll to the bottom to see my breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. This may give some people a few ideas to mix up their daily food routine and stay on track with their healthy lifestyle. Yummy and satisfying choices, enjoy!
